Get to know Eastern North Philadelphia in a fun and meaningful way!

This project is a joint effort by several nonprofit organizations in Eastern North Philadelphia to create a series of walking tours of historic portions of Eastern North Philadelphia—a  neighborhood rich in cultural treasures, but often overlooked on traditional tourist routes. This area is home to a thriving Latinx community and key moments and sites in our city’s history. The tours are co-designed with leaders from the community. Visitors and residents get the chance to enjoy the neighborhood’s food, music, art and history. To cap it off, participants are given the opportunity to take part in a community service or civic engagement project. The idea is to highlight the positives and design creative solutions! We hire tour guides from within the community to share their stories about what makes our community unique.
